Double-Head Drilling (Rotary x Percussive) – with a dual top-head that incorporates a rotation unit for outer casing & a drifter for the inner-rod; this technique utilizes (air, water or mud) internal flushing, a rotary style (RH) outer casing (with inertia welded) tool joints, API style (larger) drill pipe, inertia welded (smaller) drill rods or percussive style (LH) inner-rods that is advanced independently from the outer casing, that is also equipped with a tungsten carbide or diamond impregnated (weld-on) ring bit (casing shoe or crown) & full-face DTH or cross-chopping for the (percussive) action on the inner-rods.

    This technique is best suited for basically all formations that require a fairly straight bore hole, where down-hole conditions can vary widely, that might require sealing off against pressurized groundwater & most importantly where penetration rate (speed) is critical.

Double-Head Drilling (Rotary x Rotary) – with a dual-top-head; this technique utilizes (air, water or mud) internal flushing, a rotary style (LH) outer casing (with inertia welded) tool joints, API style drill pipe, solid stem augers, or multi-use flush joint casing as a (RH) inner-rod that is advanced independently from the outer casing, that again is equipped with a tungsten carbide (weld-on) ring bit (casing shoe or crown) & DTH, Drag (Chevron), Tri-Cone, DP, FishTail, 5-T or BullDog style bit(s) for the inner-rod or augers.

     This technique is best suited for basically all formations that require a fairly straight bore hole, where down-hole conditions can vary widely & might also require sealing off against pressurized groundwater.

Duplex Drilling – with a single drifter as a top-head; this technique utilizes (air or water) internal flushing (usually) a rotary/ percussive style (LH) outer casing (with a nipple style or inertia welded) tool joint, an inertia welded or percussive style (RH) inner-rod that can be advanced with or without the outer casing, with a tungsten carbide (weld-on) ring bit (casing shoe or crown) & a full-face DTH style bit for the (RH) inner-rods.

     Best suited for larger gravels, sand, silt, some consolidated formations, limestone & limited boulder types.

Drive Drilling – with a single drifter as a top-head; this technique utilizes no (air or water) flushing, a rotary/ percussive style casing (with a nipple style or inertia welded) tool joint & an expendable style bit (left in the bore hole after reaching TD).

     Best suited for gravels, sand, limited boulders & easily displaced overburden formations.
